Day 92-Tissue Paper

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is tissue paper-use some tissue paper on your card.  We just celebrated my daughter's 8th birthday and I made several large tissue paper flowers for decorations.  I made a smaller version for my card and used the tissue paper for the background paper on this card.

Today's sketch at 365 Cards.

Day 84-Super Sketchy Sunday

Day 84 at 365 Cards is super sketchy Sunday.  I think I am finally caught up on my cards for last week.  Have a great Sunday and Memorial Day!

Day 90-Card Recipe

Day 90 at 365 Cards is a card recipe:   5x5 Card
3 stamps (including the sentiment)
String, fiber or twine
2 patterned papers
4 blossoms.  My card is 5x5; Owl stamp, thank-you stamp, and border stamp around the thank-you; string; 2 patterned papers; and 4 blossoms.

Day 89-Courage and Strength

Day 89 at 365 Cards is Courage and Strength. You can use the sentiment along with an image, or just the sentiment to deliver a message of hope, courage, faith, strength...something along those lines.  I made a thank-you to give to someone who has served our country.

Day 88-Insect Frenzy

Day 88 at 365 Cards is insect frenzy-use at least 3 different types of bugs and put at least 10 little buggies in total on your card.

Day 87-All Natural

Day 87 at 365 Cards is all natural, something on your card should involve something from nature on your card.  I knew I had some pansies I had press into a book several years ago.  I found them after only looking at 3 other books.  Since I have a lot of books I was quite surprised to find them so quickly.

Day 86-Keep it Simple

Day 86 at 365 Cards is keep it simple-One stamped image (you can color it in), one stamped sentiment, and one embellishment of your choice. No patterned paper on this one!

Day 85-Flora and Fauna

Day 85 at 365 Cards is flora and fauna-include both plant and wildlife on your card.  You must use a plant/flower image on your card, and some sort of wildlife - and they must be from different sources.

Thank-You to everyone who has served for our freedom

Day 83-4 Wheel Drive

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is 4 wheel drive- you need to have 4 wheels of any kind on your card.  With summer coming I made a camper card using my everyday paper dolls cartridge.  We are not campers however if we had a camper I think we would go camping more then once a year.  We go once a year for a weekend with friends from church and have "good times".  Have a great weekend!

Day 82-Substitution Please

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is substitution please.  Substitute a number for a word in your sentiment.  Any substitution counts, EXCEPT for example, "Happy 5th Birthday".  I asked my husband for ideas and here's some of what he came up with- Thanks 2 Every-1 4 all the Gr-8 Gifts, Gr-8 job on 2-sday, Don't 4-get 2 rsvp by the next 2-sday, Thanks 2 Every-1 4 A-10-ding my gr-8 party.  I guess if I need any help with words and numbers I'll ask him for ideas.  Can you tell by his ideas we are getting ready for my daughter's birthday party, she turns 8 so this is a perfect thank-you card for her to use.  Have a Gr-8 weekend!

Day 81-Setting the Scene

Thursday's challenge at 365 Cards is setting the scene.  This means actually creating a scene on your card, and it must have the following theme: On a Picnic.

Wednesday, May 19, 2010

Day 80-Keep it to Yourself : Friendship

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is keep it to yourself-friendship.  With a Keep it to Yourself challenge, the idea is to convey the message on the outside without actually saying it with a sentiment. If you'd like to include a sentiment, you can put it on the inside of the card.  The card should be all about Friendship.

Day 79-Color Scheme

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is a color scheme challenge.  With these colors I made a patriotic card.  I'm not sure if I have ever sent out a 4th of July card but maybe I should make some more and have a party!  Summer is almost here; my kids are counting the days until the end of school.  Have a great day!

Day 78-Imagine This-Money

Day 77-Super Sketchy Sunday

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is Super Sketchy Sunday.  I have been making thank-you cards for my daughter to use for her upcoming birthday.  Hope everyone had a great weekend!  Our roofing project is done, at least my part of it.  Goodbye giant scissors, hello paper scissors.

Day 76-365 Cards

Saturday's challenge at 365 Cards is criss cross apple- sauce.  This challenge needs a criss cross pattern to appear on your card somewhere.  I'm really trying to use up paper from my scrap drawer, it is overflowing.  I'm sure I have some paper that is criss crossed but not in my scrap drawer.  My goal is to get that drawer, actually 2 drawers down to half full instead of overflowing.  Have a great Sunday!

My Pink Stamper Challenge

My Pink Stamper is having a challenge-make a card using green, yellow, and brown.  I used the walk in my garden cartridge for this card.  Have a great day!

Day 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, & 75

Day 70
With our roofing project going on I have not had a chance to post my cards for this week.  I will be happy to put away roofing tools and get back to using crafting tools!  Sunday's challenge at 365 Cards is this sketch.
Day 71
Monday's challenge at 365 Cards is do that decade. I did the 1920's, I'm not sure if we had to do that decade or pick any decade. I was inspired by one of my favorite pictures of my Grandpa. This picture is probably from the 1930's but the car might be from the 20's. I found a picture of a 1920's car and added a key; the first keys for cars were made in the 20's. A little tidbit I found out about when looking up cars from the 20's.

  Day 72
Tuesday's challenge at 365 Cards is it needs something. You need to take an image and add something to the image.  In this case I added a purse to the girl, every girl needs a cute purse.
Day 73   Wednesday's challenge at 365 Cards is tri-colored.  Use an image (stamped or digi) on your card and only use 3 colors (and not different shades of those colors). Black and white are the exceptions to this rule.
                        Day 74
Thursday's challenge at 365 Cards is buttons and bows.  You need to include 4 buttons and 4 bows.  I used my home decor cartridge for the image.
Day 75
Friday's challenge at 365 Cards is a card recipe: 4.25 x 5.5 card, 2 patterned papers, stripes, 1 piece of ribbon, stamped image (digi counts!),  stamped sentiment.  Now back to the roof, hopefully I'll get a chance to do today's challenge.  Have a great weekend.

Day 64-The 3 F's

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is the 3 F's.  That means your card needs to include at least one of each of the following three things:
Fringe, Fairy tale, and your Favorite color.  My favorite color is green, I raided my daughters craft drawer for the fringe, and I made a castle card.  I found the template for this card at A Path of Paper and I decided a fairy tale card is the perfect time to try this castle card.

Day 63-Super Sketchy Sunday

This is this Sunday's sketch at 365 Cards.  Here is my take on the sketch.

Day 62 at 365 Cards is look who's talking.  The challenge is to add a thought bubble or a speaking bubble so it appears as if the image is saying/thinking the sentiment.
