Grandma's Card Box

For Christmas this year I made a card box for my Grandma I gave her several of the cards I've made this year.  For the last couple weeks instead of making new cards I finished the insides of several cards.  I saw this project on My Pink Stamper's volume 3 DVD.  The flower I made by cutting several different size circles, melting the edges, gluing the layers together, and gluing 3 pearls in the center of the flower.  Hope she likes it!  Have a wonderful Christmas!!!!

More Glitter Ornaments

Here are a couple more glitter ornaments I made with the kids.  Sorry about the bad pictures, it's really hard to get a good picture of glass.  On these ornaments we used Christmas rub-ons from Michaels, I found them in the aisle with the glass ornaments.  The gold one is actually a plastic one, I wanted to see if the plastic ones would work.  I thought they would be a little more kid friendly.  It worked really well with the glitter it glue.  I'm curious to see what these look like next year.  Have a Wonderful Christmas!!!

Glitter Ornaments

My daughter and I made these ornaments with glitter-it glue and vinyl cut on the cricut.  My Pink Stamper has a video showing how to make the ornament and My Creative Time has a video showing these with different ways to decorate the ornaments.  This is an ornament that turns out so pretty.  I made these with the 3rd - 6th grade girls at church last week and they were a huge hit!  They are glass so be careful, my daughter broke hers so we made a new one today.  The fine glitter works so much better then regular glitter.  We used some glitter from Signature Crafts and some Martha Stewart glitter.  I ordered the glitter it from Signature Crafts, I could not find it at any of the craft stores by me.  It is suppose to be by the Christmas crafts but I could not find it anywhere.   Have a great weekend!

Day 284-Pretty Pockets

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is pretty pockets-create 2 pockets on your card. You can do this in the card, on the front, the card can be a pocket - It's up to you how you go about this, as long as there are 2 pockets.  I made a double pocket card, I found a video here that shows how to make this card.  I put a tag in the first pocket and a gift card holder in the 2nd pocket to hold cash or a gift card.  Have a great day!   *** I made another card the same way so I added the picture of that one too.

Made by Momo's Tuesday challenge #17

Made by Momo has a challenge this week to make treat bag or box.  I used tags, bags, boxes & more and winter woodland for this bag.  This is the perfect size for some lip gloss for my daughter.  Have a great day!

Day 276-Ephemera

The challenge for day 276 at 365 Cards is ephemera.  Yeah, I was wondering too...  It's that stuff that you hang on to and think you might use again? For instance, some tickets to a great show, an old postcard, or a poster from a particular era might be some things you could incorporate into a card.  I have a bunch of tickets saved for scrapbook pages that worked nicely for another guy card.  Have a great day!

The challenge for day 273 at 365 Cards is super sketchy Sunday.  I used  my baseball solutions cricut cartridge for this card.  For Christmas I am going to give my Grandma an assortment of cards. She doesn't want us to buy her anything for Christmas so I'm going to give her a homemade gift and this is something she can use all year.  Most the cards I have are for a female so I'm going to try and make some cards for guys the next couple of weeks.  Have a great day!

Day 271-Vintage Plus Lace

The challenge for day 271 at 365 Cards is vintage plus lace.  I think this is such a sweet picture of my Grandma's little sister.  I can't believe I made all the cards this week.  I think I haven't made the cards for the whole week since before school was out last summer.  We'll see how this week goes with all the Christmas hustle and bustle.

Day 270-Vintage Plus Dimensional Sticker

The challenge for day 270 at 365 Cards is vintage plus dimensional sticker.  For my last 2 vintage cards I used copies of some of my Grandma's old pictures.  This is one of my favorites.  The flower is my dimensional sticker.

Day 272-Card Recipe

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is a card recipe.  This week is a vintage love blog hop and each day one of the designers would include a specific item, design element, or technique on her card and today you need to make a card that includes all 10 elements.  I think I have all 10 things included on my card.  The button is from my Grandma's stash, it is holding the die cut tag on the card.  I'm not sure if the snowflake counts as a vintage sticker but it is dimensional.  I'm hoping I can catch up with Thursday and Fridays cards tomorrow, since I was out of town for Thanksgiving I didn't make those yet.  It's been fun trying to make vintage style cards this week.  Have a great weekend!

This week at 365 Cards is Vintage Love Blog Hop week.  I'm going to try to play and along I think my Grandma and Great-Grandma's button stash will be used and I'll also be raiding my grandma-in-laws sewing basket.  Sometimes hanging on to stuff comes in handy.  I think I will also be using my new A Child's Year cartridge, it has a vintage feel to it.  Sundays challenge at 365 Cards is super sketchy Sunday.  Here is my card and yes that is a button from Great-Grandma's stash and the lace and rick rack is from Grandma's sewing basket.  The die cut is from a Child's year cart.

Day 247-Loud and Clear

The challenge for day 247 at 365 Cards is loud and clear. The challenge is to use large letters or a really big sentiment fill at least half your card with it.  I think this fits several challenges for this week, day 246 made about mint, day 248 ad inspired, and today if the challenge was only blog inspired.  Since I don't have time this week to make any more cards I think this should count for at least 3 of the challenges. lol
Here is a picture of one of the crafts I have been working on this week.  Have a great weekend!

Day 241-Scavenger Hunt

The challenge for day 241 at 365 Cards is scavenger hunt-use 3 items around your house that are not typically used in card making, but would work on a card. They don't have to be different items - you could use 3 of the same thing.  I made a star wars lego card for my nephew.  I found some legos in my boys room and used them to frame a lego picture I printed off the computer.  I think legos are my favorite toys for boys, my boys will spend hours playing with legos.  Have a great day!

Day 231 Super Sketchy Sunday

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is super sketchy Sunday.
I was able to make a few cards for last week today.  Yesterday was my Mom-in-laws craft show and I posted a few pictures of some of the crafts we sold.  Most of the items were things my mom-in-law made.  My dad-in-law cuts things out for her and she paints them.  They are having another show in a couple of weeks, so I will be working on some more craft show items this week.  Have a great week!
