Day 61-Circles 3 Ways

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is to use 3 different types of circular objects on your card, not 3 circles of the same thing.  I made a circular card with buttons, a brad, and my paper even has circles.  I have a couple of quick questions to anyone who sews.  My sewing machine is needs to be replaced and I was wondering what kind of sewing machine do you have and do you like it?  Have a great weekend!

Day 60- All That Glitters

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is all that glitters.  For this challenge you need to use at least 3 different colors of glitter.  Since I only have white glitter I raided my daughters glitter tubes.  I'm sure it's not exactly what most would use on a card but it is what we had in the house.  I used green, blue, yellow, orange, and pink.  Have a great day!

Day 59-Moving Parts

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is moving parts. The challenge is to create moving parts on an image on your card. I made the monkey with my everyday paper dolls cartridge and the leaf and vine with my sweethearts cartridge. I used my crop-a-dile to punch a small hole in the vine and paper and added a small brad. The monkey swings back and forth very freely. I really like the way this card turned out, the swinging monkey is so cute.  Have a great day!

Day 55-On Pins and Needles

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is on pins and needles.  Your project must incorporate pins as a decoration and needles for the purpose of stitching somewhere on your card. Otherwise, anything goes.  I decided to make a baby card with a pin holding the diaper together and I used a needle to "stitch" the papers together. Have a great weekend!

Day 52 Save The Date

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is a save that date card.  Since there are no weddings or graduations in our near future I decided to make one for a summer pool party. What a perfect time to make a flip flop card.  I traced my daughters flip flops on the fold and cut it out.  The save the date is from the sweethearts cartridge and the "ball" is printed off my computer.  So write the date on the calendar and bring your towel.  Have a great day!

3) Something you forgot you had.   Everything on the card is more than a year old.  The paper is from my sister-in-law and I've never used this pack before and I forgot I had the butterfly.

Spring Challenge Blog Hop

Here is my card for Practical Scrappers, The Cuttlebug Spot, and Pile It OnThe challenge at Practical Scrappers is projects that feature glitter, bling, jewels, pearls...all that fun girly stuff!   The challenge at the cuttlebug spot is projects blinged/glittered.  And the challenge at Pile it on is Say it with Words (NO IMAGE, ONLY quote, sentiment or embellishments as focal point)  I think my card covers all three challenges.  My paper is glittered and the flower is glittered and blinged.  The main focal point is words.

Spring Challenge Blog Hop

Here is my scrapbook page for Scrap That Poetry (An Easter Flower Gift) and Sketchy Thursdays.  I am going to use this page for pictures of my daughter in her Easter dress.  Now I need to get some pictures printed, I don't think I have printed any in the last few years.

MPS Challenge

My Pink Stamper has a color challenge-pink, black, and green and use your cricut.  I used the home decor cartridge to make the butterfly and flower and the Don Juan cartridge for the letters.  The paper and the ribbon is from Hobby Lobby.   I made a covered journal with a matching thank-you card.  If you have a cricut check out My Pink Stamper and watch her cricut videos!
Watching her videos is how I learned to use my cricut.

You can combine things, too - for instance, 5 different colors could show up in the buttons or patterned papers.  I used 5 different papers for the 5 flowers and 5 buttons for the center of the flowers.  There are 6 different stamps used on this card.  There are a least 5 different colors, yellow, green, blue, brown, pink, white, plum, ok that's 7.  Have a great day!

Day 39 Totally Transferred

The challenge at 365 Cards is totally transferred, decorate your card using ONLY rub-on transfers (including the sentiment) Okay, I don't think I have ever used transfers but I did have a sheet of dragonflies and found this sentiment transfer.

Day 38-Acrostic Poem

Today's challenge at 365 Cards is include an acrostic poem on your card.  You know that cute little poem where each line uses a letter from a word to describe the word?  Poems are definitely not my favorite thing, me write one?  I decided to keep it real simple with one word per letter and I made a card for my daughter.  This is what I came up with today.  She'll like it, she's only seven and it's pink.

Greenhouse

We had a rainy day today so my kids and I made this mini greenhouse out of things we had around the house.  I'm hoping to get our tomato and pepper plants started.  We found instructions here.  There are other fun projects for kids to do at this site.
