My daughter and I made a t-shirt bag out of her favorite t-shirt from when she was 4. We followed the instructions in Jodi Kahn's book "Simply Sublime Bags". This is a no sew bag, you line the shirt with duck tape and staple it together. You can sew the bag but I didn't want to sew through duck tape. You have to be careful when you put the duck tape on and make sure there are no wrinkles in the shirt. There are a few wrinkles in Amber's bag but it is still very cute! There is a video
here of Jodi on the Today show making one of her t-shirt bags.
I found instructions
here for one that is not lined with duck tape and you sew the hem.
