We are back from our vacation; we took our family out West. We went to the Badlands, Wall Drug, Yellowstone, Custer, Mount Rushmore, & Keystone. We had a great time seeing some of the "Wild West". We saw lots of bison, some wild burros, elk, pronghorn antelope, some natural wonders, but no craft stores. I was good and did not make my family visit any craft stores. No paper, embellishments, beads, fabric, ink, nothing crafty at all. We had a great time on our family trip, now it's back to reality. This week starts VBS at our church which is a very busy but wonderful week. I don't know if I'll get to do any crafting this week but we'll see. Here's a little of what we saw at Yellowstone. Have a great week!

Days 136 & 137
The challenge for day 136 at 365 Cards is imagine this-chalkboard. I don't have any white ink so I used a white pencil to write on the black paper.
The challenge for day 137 at 365 cards is hot and cold. For this challenge, split your card in half based on color groups - hot and cold, warm and cool, whatever they're called - and there should be a distinct separation between the two. Have a great day!

Day 133 & 134
Sunday's challenge at 365 Cards is super sketchy Sunday.
4x4 card, 4 patterned papers, 5 blossoms, hand stitching, 1 stamp, sentiment of your choice. For the hand stitching I made french knots. Have a great day!

Day 129-Aged Look
Wednesday's challenge at 365 Cards is to give your card an aged look. It's not about using an embellishment that came with a vintage look, but rather creating it to look that way yourself. You can do this to your entire card or just to a single element on your card. This is the first time I think I have tried to age a card. I tore, wrinkled, and burned the paper (this is how my son "aged" a map project for school).

Day 126, 127, & 130
Sunday's challenge at 365 Cards is super sketchy Sunday. I used my Home Decor cart for this card.
Monday's challenge at 365 Cards is old, new, borrowed, blue. The button in the flower is very old, it's from my stash of buttons from my Great-Grandma. The flowers are my most recent purchase and the stamp is borrowed from my Mother-in-law.
Thursday's challenge at 365 Cards is ad inspired. I think my biggest challenge for this summer will be getting time to make cards. That's a good thing, it means I'm having summer fun with the kids.

4th of July Hair
We found this cute 4th of July hairstyle at Princess Hair styles. My daughter loved it and she wasn't even crying when we here done. Usually when I try to style her hair she sounds like I'm ripping her hair out so her hair just gets a quick brushing and a little of hair in a ponytail. This hair style is 5 small ponytails and some ribbon woven in the shape of a star. There are tons of cute hairstyles at Princess Hairstyles, maybe she'll let me try another one sometime. Now we're off to watch my son in the parade. Happy 4th of July!
